Special Projects are curated collections of facts related to focused topics. These USGenWeb affiliate projects are independently managed. Contact the Special Project Coordinator found on each project website to contribute or volunteer.

Archives Projects

The Archives Project - Archives is a digital library that curates a variety of contributed transcriptions, documents, images, and photos. Collections include Census Images, Court Cases, Digital Maps, Marriages, Newsletter, Obituaries, Pension, and Special Collections.

Family Group Sheets project

The Family Group Sheets Project - FGS is a growing curated collection of family lineages, supported by many contributors for over 20 years.

Kidz Project

The USGenWeb Kidz Project - Kidz is dedicated to helping you and your children or students learn about genealogy and contains topics for beginner, intermediate, and advanced level researchers.

Tombstone Project

The Tombstone Transcription & Photo Project - Tombstones is a collection of transcribed inscriptions from headstones, monuments, and cemetery surveys, and includes cemetery information. The Photo project contains images of headstones, markers, and memorials.

US African American Griots Project

THE US AFRICAN AMERICAN GRIOTS PROJECT - GRIOTS provides an opportunity to find records unique to the “African American Experience”, and curates military, vital, surname, probate records and photos.
